Mentoring
Mentoring
Our team of mentors have experience in the world of foster care and adoption. We can help you navigate through the emotional roller coaster that comes along with foster care. We are also here to answer questions that you may not have learned in your training. There are going to be situations that come up that you don't feel equipped to handle on your own, and you don't have to.
Caring for a loved one's child can have its own set of challenges. Along with helping to navigate through the DCS process and working through tough situations and emotions, a mentor can help establish healthy boundaries.
It can be extremely overwhelming and lonely trying to reunify with your child. The system can be confusing. The process can seem long. The list of what is required of you may seem unattainable. You may feel like no one is rooting for you. We want to come alongside you to help navigate some of those obstacles and emotions.
Sarah and Erin lead our mentor team. They both have 20 plus years of non-profit leadership experience as well as 8 years of ongoing mentor training and experience.
